This is a memorial for Mizar, my companion for the past eleven years. She had to be put down a couple of weeks ago after her chronic kidney failure finally got the better of her. There are a thousand cute, funny, weird and wonderful things I could tell you about her and our life together, but the cat-shaped hole in my world is still too raw. She has been the most stable point of my existence during my grown-up life, and to handle the loss of her will take time. So now you know why I’m avoiding social media until further notice; I just can’t deal right now. I’ll be back eventually, and accept your condolences in the form of leaving me be.
Rest in peace, dearest darling kitty of mine.
