I made it! At long last, I got my motorcycle driver’s licence! It took a lot of time, a lot of money, a lot of help and a lot of sweat and tears (though no blood, thankfully). It’s been more than a week since I nailed the test, and despite multiple Triumph rides (hah!) it hasn’t completely sunk in yet. It appears to be a thing that happens when you’ve longed and waited and worked for something for years and years. When it eventually happens it just seems completely non-plausible. Not to mention undeserved and as if there will turn out to have been a misunderstanding and it will be taken from you any minute.
Oh well, I’m sure the reality of it will catch up eventually. Joy is already seeping in through the cracks in my baffled mind. This summer you’ll find me on the road, riding my Tiger!
